The region of Mikri Vigla is one of the most beautiful places throughout the island. It is only 10 km away from Naxos Town, with frequent bus itineraries to the mainland, the port and the airport.

It is known not only for the beautiful beach of Mikri Vigla (west side) which is suitable for swimmers, but also as a unique spot for extreme sports (mainly kitesurfing and windsurfing) because of its ideal weather conditions.

Mikri Vigla (South side)

Mikri Vigla is located on the South – West of Naxos island and less than 17 Km from Chora. The cape of Mikri Vigla (small watchtower), used by pirates during the Frankish Empire, is famous for the endless golden sand beach of Mikri Vigla that goes into the crystal clear blue waters of Naxos.

“Parthena” Beach

Mikri Vigla on the north side is renamed to ‘Parthena Beach’ and shapes a 650metre bay which makes it ideal place for extreme water sports.

How to get here

You will be able to reach Mikri Vigla after a 15 minute ride by taxi or 45 minute ride by bus. Taxis and buses can be found just outside port's exit.
